Prepare a useful coding printer service request.

Use this checklist before asking for maintenance, troubleshooting, consumables or replacement parts. Clear evidence helps determine the next discussion without assuming that similar models or parts are compatible.

Eight details that improve a service response.

  1. 01
    Identify the machine

Send a clear photo of the complete nameplate and record the machine make, model, serial number and any controller or printhead identification.

  2. 02
    Show the actual symptom

Describe what changed and when. Include a clear photo of the fault message, warning light, print sample or the affected component.

  3. 03
    Confirm current consumables

Photograph the complete ink, make-up, cartridge, ribbon, cleaner or filter reference currently fitted. Similar colors or containers are not enough to identify a replacement.

  4. 04
    Note recent line changes

Include changes to material, package, code, speed, shift, environment, installation, cleaning or consumable supply that happened before the issue appeared.

  5. 05
    Keep the machine safe

Follow your approved site procedures and the equipment documentation. Do not bypass guards, interlocks or other safety controls while investigating a print or machine issue.

  6. 06
    Provide a representative sample

For print-quality issues, send a current sample and state the surface, code content, print position and line conditions.

  7. 07
    Identify the service need

State whether you need troubleshooting support, preventive maintenance, a consumable, a replacement part, a retrofit review or a complete replacement evaluation.

  8. 08
    Add delivery details

For parts and consumables, include the required quantity, delivery country, target timing and any existing reference or quotation number.

Send the evidence you have.

Start with the nameplate, current references, a fault record or a print sample. We can use it to determine the appropriate next discussion.
