COMMON QUESTIONS
Start with the real product surface, the required code, line speed, print position, environment and durability requirement. CIJ, TIJ, TTO, DOD, laser and print-and-apply systems solve different jobs. Confirm the final configuration using representative material and line conditions.
CIJ is commonly evaluated for small non-contact codes on moving products with varied shapes. TIJ is often evaluated for detailed variable printing on compatible cartons, labels and packaging. The actual substrate, ink, print distance and speed determine the suitable option.
Evaluate direct coding when the carton surface and required code are compatible with the printing method. Evaluate print-and-apply when the process requires a variable label. Confirm material, label position, data source, line speed and package presentation.
Send product or package photos, substrate details, the required code or label sample, line speed, print position, installation space, quantity and delivery country. Include the existing printer and consumable reference when the project is a replacement or upgrade.
Not necessarily. Surface material, shape, speed, code size, contrast, environment and resistance needs can change the suitable technology and consumable. A representative material test is the safest way to confirm the final fit.
Send the full printer model, the complete reference from the current consumable label, clear photos and the substrate being printed. Ink color alone is not enough to confirm compatibility.
Provide the machine nameplate, original part reference, clear component and connector photos, any revision or voltage information, failure symptom, quantity and delivery country. Similar-looking parts may differ by configuration.
Include the full machine identification, the precise fault or print symptom, photos or a print sample, current consumable or part references and any recent line change. This helps distinguish an identification, consumable, component, installation or replacement question.
No. Scan performance depends on the selected printer, code size, contrast, surface, resolution, mounting, data and target scanner. Confirm the intended code with representative printing and scanning.
No. The customer must define and verify applicable quality, validation, data and regulatory requirements. Equipment can be assessed against those requirements, but selecting a machine alone does not demonstrate compliance.
Photograph the complete machine nameplate, current consumable or part labels, the installation area, any fault message and a representative print or package sample. Include the product surface, code position and recent changes to the line.
You can start with the closest representative material, planned code, expected line speed and installation space. The final recommendation should be confirmed against the actual package and production conditions before implementation.
Compare methods against the same practical requirements: substrate, code content and size, line speed, print position, durability, operator workflow, data source and service needs. A representative test gives more useful evidence than a technology name alone.
